Evaluation of fully automated motion corrected first pass myocardial perfusion MRI with semi quantitative perfusion parameter maps in patients with ischemic heart disease

چکیده
Background Coronary heart disease is the leading cause of death and disability in the US. FPMP MRI is increasingly used to assess ischemic heart disease; however respiratory motion is one of the major problems for myocardial blood flow quantification. An algorithm for motion correction, surface coil correction, temporal denoising and robust pixel-wise parameter map generation model was previously desribed [Xue H et al MICCAI 2009).This work evaluates automated workflow in a clinical setting to diagnose ischemic heart disease comparing free breathing and motion correcteted images and corresponding pixel-wise parameter map.

Evaluation of semi quantitative perfusion parameter maps generated based on a fully automated non-rigid motion correction during a first pass myocardial perfusion (FPMP) MRI
Background FPMP MRI is commonly used to assess CAD and most recently to assess cardiac involvement in asymptomatic patients with CMVD such as systemic sclerosis and diabetes mellitus. FPMP MRI evaluation relies on visual inspection for qualitative analysis but quantitative analysis of rest and stress perfusion data is desired to improve diagnosis. One main challenge of qualitative analysis incl...
متن کاملInline quantitative myocardial perfusion flow mapping
Background Quantification of myocardial blood flow (MBF) using first-pass perfusion MRI has potential to objectively evaluate ischemic heart disease. While considerable development and clinical research has been conducted during the past two decades on this topic, there lacks a perfusion flow mapping solution that runs on the MRI scanner and produces MBF maps immediately following the perfusion...
متن کاملMyocardial perfusion SPECT: Perfusion quantification
Different software tools for quantification of myocardial perfusion SPECT (MPS) studies are routinely used. Several perfusion parameters can be computed automatically. Interpretation of the MPS should start with visual inspection of the rotating planar images, visual analysis of reconstructed SPECT slices and then quantitative analysis to confirm the visual impression. Quantification should be...
متن کاملSemi-quantitative segmental perfusion scoring in myocardial perfusion SPECT: visual vs. automated analysis
Introduction: It is recommended that the physician apply at least a semi-quantitative segmental scoring system in myocardial perfusion SPECT. We aimed to assess the agreement between automated semi-quantitative analysis using QPS (quantitative Perfusion SPECT) software and visual approach for calculation of summed stress score (SSS), summed rest score (SRS) and summed difference score (SDS). ...
متن کاملThe myocardial perfusion scintigraphy in asymptomatic diabetic patients
Introduction: Asymptomatic diabetic patients are at increased risk of cardiovascular complications. Myocardial perfusion scan may be effective in risk evaluation in this population. Methods: 106 asymptomatic diabetic patients (age: min: 37, max: 82, mean: 57.73±8.88), including 56 females (52.8%) and 50 males (47.2%) were enrolled in the study. Myocardial perfusion scintigraphy was performed b...
